ABOUT US:

In 1991, The New Victorian School was established under the name of “The Victorian School” (TVS).  It was created with the purpose of providing a quality and stable educational environment for the Executive Directors’ children, Victoria and Bradley Joseph, for whom it was named, during a time of extreme political unrest.

The school slowly but steadily grew over the next 10 years, with the enrollment reaching nearly 150 students.

On January 12, 2000, TVS was completely destroyed by fire, believed to be caused by a short circuit following a period of blackout.

Just 12 days later, with the generous assistance of friends, family and other educational and religious institutions in Haiti and the U.S., The NEW Victorian School (TNVS) was founded on January 24, 2000. Since that time, construction of a new building, which includes plans for a media enter, language/computer lab and classrooms, has been ongoing.

OUR MISSION IS:

To provide families and their children with an opportunity to receive a high-quality education using either the American or the combination of Haitian and French curriculums.

To provide children and adults with the opportunity to study English as a Foreign Language with American and Haitian instructors.
